Attewell is the only source outside the USA approved by The Boeing Company to supply shim stock materials as well as holding the Boeing BQMS D6-82479 approval for supply of manufactured components. We also hold ship-to-line status, granted by Boeing D1-9000 AQS, and to Bombardier Aerospace.
To attain the high level of product conformance Attewell has an extensive range of assessment and checking equipment including a Laser QC™ measuring machine which is a contact-less two-dimensional inspection system with an accuracy of up to +/- 0.05mm (0.002”). It is much faster than other measuring systems such as calliper gauges, co-ordinate measuring machines and camera-based systems. The laser also enables reverse engineering by creating a precise DXF drawing of a product from a component example.
